The Nashville Public Television Arts Connection has created a new behind-the-scenes promo video to showcase the outstanding work of the Nashville Symphony in presenting Harry Potter™ in Concert.

The video, part of the NPT's weekly Arts Break segment, centers on the film concerts at the local Schermerhorn Symphony Center, with special emphasis on Harry Potter. For viewers, it's a sneak peek into the mechanics of building a film concert, as well as a celebration of the live music experience.

HP3 Announcement during HP2

As you know, the orchestra stops playing before the last frame of the HP2 end credits. As a result, some markets have been experiencing difficulty in announcing HP3 as an end slide because people start leaving the venue well before the credits finish. The whole point of the announcement slide is to have as many people see it during the actual show.

One easy way to get around this is to use an approved announcement slide during INTERMISSION. Procedure is below:

1. Standard Intermission slide for 2 minutes once Intermission starts
2. HP3 Announcement Slide fades in and stays for the duration of Intermission to the start of the second half.

Please note: The announcement slide still must be approved through your brand manager.

[Example] Harry Potter in Concert Promo Video!

We're pleased to share a promo video created by one of our partners, presenter Musikkens Hus. Headquartered in Denmark, Musikkens Hus has performed Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in Concert throughout Scandinavia, with upcoming concerts of the first and second film in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

To communicate the unique fan experience provided by Harry Potter in Concert, Musikkens Hus combined footage from their own Harry Potter film concerts with interviews/testimonials of fans of varied demographics. The result is a heartwarming and inspiring video that really evokes the magic of Harry Potter in Concert - not to mention a tactic that we believe to be beneficial for all our partners! If you would like to create a video similar to this one, please reach out. We would love to see more of these creative ventures!

As a reminder, please be aware that all marketing materials mentioning Harry Potter do need to be vetted by us internally as well as by Warner Bros. Promotional videos such as this one will need to be submitted through our portal and will need to conform to our usual guidelines.

Score Book Photos!

Photos of the Harry Potter Score Books are now available for use on social media! Images of HP1-3 score books can now be found under Social Media Art and Copy.

New: Cinemagraphs!

Cinemagraphs have been added to our marketing assets! These are now available as an alternate option for digital banners and advertising. These can also be posted with Social Media Posts! Please find these under 'Key Art' as well as 'Social Media Art & Copy' for each film!

Cinemagraphs are still photographs in which a minor and repeated movement occurs, forming a video clip. They are published as an animated GIF or in other video formats, and can give the illusion that the viewer is watching an animation. Cinemagraphs provide more dymanic ad composition that draw the eye with this small movement. These increase click through as well as time on-site for the concert series.

New: House Banners!

USE 2017-11-15 15.19.15.jpg

Check out these show-stopping Hogwarts House banners, spotted at Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's recent Harry Potter in Concert! To produce these banners for your engagement, please download graphics from the link below.

As always, materials and installation methods need to be approved internally by CineConcerts, with final approval from Warner Bros. If arranging banners in a consecutive line, please use the order: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin (red, blue, yellow, green).

Please submit mock-ups/design concepts before proceeding to production.

If you produce these flags, don't forget to share photos on social media and tag us @cineconcerts (Instagram) and @cineconcertsllc (Twitter), and use the hashtag #harrypotterinconcert.

The Approval(s) Process Reminder

Hello everyone - as we have all grown to love and understand the approval process, we are working very hard to streamline this and make all assets submitted quicker to approve. That being said, we are working hard on expanding our templates to help with this, but they are currently being worked on with Warner Bros. As a result, this is just a reminder about any asset approval.

  • Asset Approval:  Any and all marketing materials (including social media posts, lobby engagement/activities and giveaways/promotions) related to this concert must receive approval by CineConcerts and Warner Bros before being released to production or made live, no exceptions.

  1. Assets should be submitted via https://hpassets.com/submission-form (link above).  All assets must be submitted in PDF, JPG, MP3, GIF or MOV files.  All other formats will not be accepted. Please make sure all files are high resolution so all text is legible.

  2. Please note that Warner Bros. requires 10-14 business days for all approvals.  We encourage you to submit your materials even earlier than that as required revisions add another 5 business days.

  3. Press release approval takes the same amount of time, so the sooner the press release gets to Andrew the better.
